PROBLÉM
Manual booking management via phone and email was limiting capacity and creating errors. The property had no web presence that guests could trust, which pushed them toward third-party booking platforms with high commissions.

A custom-built property website with real-time availability, integrated booking flow, automated guest communications, and a dedicated management app for iOS and Android. Built on Next.js with a custom backend for reservation management.

Ježek Pod Ořechem is a small apartment accommodation in the Czech Republic. The owners were managing bookings manually — phone calls, emails, a shared spreadsheet for availability — which worked when traffic was low but broke down as interest grew.
They needed a proper online presence: a website that conveyed the character of the property, an availability calendar guests could check without calling, and a booking flow that converted interest into confirmed reservations.
We built a custom website that presents the property honestly and attractively, with real photography, accurate room descriptions, and pricing that's current. The booking system is integrated directly — guests pick dates, check availability in real time, and receive automated confirmation emails.
For the hosts, we built a companion iOS and Android app that gives them a clear view of upcoming reservations, allows them to block dates, process payments, and generate occupancy reports. All guest communications — booking confirmations, reminders, checkout instructions — are handled automatically.
The result was a reduction in admin time and a measurable increase in direct bookings relative to platform-mediated bookings, which improved their margin on each reservation.

FAQ
How does the real-time availability work?
Availability is managed through the host management app and synced to the public website instantly. When hosts block dates or a booking is confirmed, the calendar on the website updates in real time — guests never see stale availability information.
Can the system handle direct payments?
Yes. Stripe is integrated for card payments at booking time. Guests pay a deposit or full amount upfront, and the hosts receive payouts automatically. All payment records are visible in the management app with export functionality for accounting.
What happens if the owners want to add more properties?
The system is designed as a multi-property platform from the start, even though it currently powers a single property. Adding a second property is a configuration change — no new development required.
